Bell Pepper Seed

Not all bell peppers are created equal. When you look at the bell pepper, turn it upside down, so that the stem end is facing down. You should see three prongs, if the pepper is good for planting the seed's from it.

Tomato Seeds

While you are getting prepared to do your canning this year, remember to save the seeds.
We all seem to see food as food, and forget to do the important things, like saving the seeds.
Since you are more than likely going to cut those vegetables up, just add a side dish for the seeds. Rinse the seeds, then let them dry out. Store in a airtight container until needed.

Quick and Easy Hotdogs

Even though it is cold weather, you can still have ayou have thes good meal that is easy to prepare and nutritious for your family.

Hotdog buns
Extra long Weiner's
Onion, chopped
Jalapeño, chopped
Cheese, chopped or shredded
Relish, optional
Chili
I cook the chili in one pot. If using store bought, rather than adding a full can of water, I only add 1/2 can.
For the wein weiners, I usually put them in the oven for about 15 minutes.
Serve the buns warmed or as they are.
I used chili with chili with beans.
Think fresh.

Cooking From the Garden

Stuffed Tomatoes
An old idea, that works great, especially if you grab the wrong meat in the store and then have to figure out what to do with it.

1lb ground pork
3 tablespoons onion powder
1 tablespoon black pepper
1whole large tomato, unpeeled
Mix the meat with the onion and black pepper
Hollow out the center of the tomato but not completely.
Stuff the tomato with the meat mixture. Lay a slice of onion on top.
Sprinkle with salt.
Bake 35 to 45 minutes at 350 degrees in the oven.
